Existing Members Sign in to your account. This email is in use. Do you need your password? Also, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to use for "sessionID". I put in the name of the page, but I can't get past the login screen when I do that. I corrected the FormsAuthentication. SignOut line, but it still doesn't do anything. It just redirects to the sign in page. In debug it looks like Session "SessionID" has a value, but it still falls into the if statement and redirects.

Here is the flow. User signs in on the login page. I do not use any built in sign in code. I just check the username and password against a table I created. On this page are 3 ddl boxes. The "Unit" ddl box will show values based on the users permissions which are found on a permissions table I created. There are also 3 gridviews on this page that show and allow the user to edit values from 3 related tables. The first gridview is loaded based on the values entered into the 3 ddl boxes.

When you select a row on gridview1, those selected values are used to load gridview2 with the related values from a different table. When a row is selected in gridview2 then those selected values are used to load related data in gridview3.

I added my login code below in case there is something I'm doing there that is causing this problem. That is correct.

When they click the logout button I need them to have to login again to get back to the data. As of now, when they hit the back button it gives them a message that they have to resubmit data. If they hit the refresh button the page comes back up as if they were still logged in. Is that correct? It does the same thing for both ways. The problem seems to be with the if statement.

I don't know if it will work after logout because I can't get it to login. I think it would work if I can get past this. I'm not sure why it is falling into this if statement on the initial page load. It doesn't appear to be null in debug. Hope this helps. It logs out and redirects to the login page, but it still lets me back in the session after I logout without logging back in when I hit the back button. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Well, it didn't let me back into the session, but it gave me an error.

I may have done something wrong converting from c to vb. Here is the error and the code. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request.

Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System. NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Source Error:. If Convert. I did change "totstring" to "tostring" I assumed that was a typo. One question. You had suggested changing the code in the masterfile, but I do not have one with this project. I'm not familiar with using them. Can I add one now without causing problems with my project?

If you dont have the masterfile have the code either in an external class and call it on every single page, if the pages are less then just copy paste the code on every page. The content you requested has been removed. Ask a question.

Quick access.
